Brighton based metal quartet BY DEFINITION are the recipients of the Discretionary Award at Rock The House 2015 for their single ‘Warrior’, which was originally released in the summer of 2014 and is also featured on the band’s just released debutalbum, ‘The Concerns Of Mortal Man’.
In a neat bit of symmetry, they will be presented with their trophy by Metal Hammer editor Alex Milas, whose publication made‘Warrior’ one of its Tracks Of The Week in the week beginning 14th July 2014 and also featured the song on a cover mount CD
The fifth time that Rock The House has taken place, the 2015 ceremony will be held on 18th March at the London residence of US Ambassador Matthew Barzun and will be attended by Ambassadors, Ministers and MP’s as well as a number of record label bosses, managers, agents and artists.
Supported by numerous musical legends including Alice Cooper, Brian May and Rick Wakeman, Rock The House seeks to champion British creative industries and highlight the importance of protecting and promoting the intellectual property rightsof artists. It also gives Parliamentarians an opportunity to engage with a grass-roots demographic and provides the creative community with a vehicle through which to communicate their issues to legislators. Patrons include Black Stone Cherry, Ian Gillan, Mark Hoppus, Charlie Simpson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steel Panther, Scott Gorham, All Time Low and Bernie Marsden.
